  3. My name is S. Parkis and i am on the VCom team and I a currently designing an iPod mount to establish video communication between the Mars Rover and Mission Control. We are thinking about putting 4 iPod's on our rover.

  4. Currently we are thinking about putting 1 iPod mount that goes around the whole rover so we can put an iPod on each side and angle of the mount. If we put an iPod on each side it will be able to record everything from plenty different angles and we will be able to see everything around the rover.

  6. We are currently working on new ways to attach the light sensor. Many ideas have already been shared, and the project is coming together nicely. We should be able to follow Curiosity's path nice and smoothly.

  8. We are currently working on building mounts to put our cameras so we can have a full veiw of Mars. The VCom team has had ideas of how we're going to place them. We have four ideas that we will choose from.

  9. The IDEP team is currently designing a system for a temperature probe and or a laser. We will design/create a "claw" for the intrument to be connected to, and it will drop the temperature probe into a substance and collect data. For the laser, we will also create/design a "claw" for the instrument, except it will be up and over the rover, to shoot and put a hole into the rocks, and collect the data (dust from rocks).

  10. Right now we are in the desioning process for all parts that are going to go on the rover to help it get to the line that the last rover went on. What we are thinking is to have two wheels on the outside of the rover to help if one of the touch sensors stops working or does not get pushed. This will help it just roll around the rock

  17. On friday we drew a series of tools and how we were going to deploy them. Also we considered the posiblities that might happen if something didn't deploy right and what tool/ insturments we were going to be using.
